B.A.R.F.
Drum Circle & Movie Night
Saturday, March 18 7-9:30pm
What two things go really well together? Loud noises and movies! Join us as we release the tensions of the loooooooong winter season by “drumming out” the frustration and then settling down for a good ol’ fashioned veg out movie. Bring a friend and your favourite snack to share.

P.S. Wearing green is required. It is St. Patrick’s Day weekend after all. If you don’t do it, the leprechauns will eat you.

RETRO TIME! YOUTH NIGHT

This month, we will be painting the entire church purple and… no. Wait. Can’t do that. Instead, we will be discussing Lent, and the idea of “giving up” to gain. Also, maybe pancakes.

 What is Sunday Discussion?
Sunday Discussions are held up in the youth room, (through the gym and up the stairs,) during Sunday service at 11am. Youth attend the first part of service and then leave after the kids’ message. (Or you can just wait up in the youth room and write lovely messages on our whiteboard.) We will be discussing the songs featured in our sermon series “Jesus: Radio Superstar” during September and October. Suggestions are welcome for Nov/Dec topics!

On days when Feast and Fellowship occurs, Youth are encouraged to load their plates and come back up to the youth room for games and general shenanigans.

What is Retro Time! Youth Night?
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!!! (Okay, two people, but that’s still demand in my books.) From 7-9pm, on the last Wednesday of every month, Youth meet for faith sharing and fellowship. Retro Time is a relaxed setting where Youth can come to just “take an evening”. We’ll talk about God, we will have food, we will play Apples to Apples (because that is somehow an inevitable.) We also have the gym for valiant efforts to attempt sports. Youth are encouraged to bring friends to this event.

What is B.A.R.F. (Bring A Real Friend) events?
It’s the FUN STUFF!
Once a month, usually Saturdays, Youth gather to do something FUN! Common B.A.R.F. events are: Movie nights, Paintball, Break into the Church, tobogganing, and so much more. Jess is always looking for new ideas. (Hint, hint.) These events are free, (Although, if you want to slip a bit extra into the offering plate and designate it to “youth” we shall love you forever,) and youth are encouraged to bring friends to these events. It is a great opportunity to show people outside of our congregation a small, unpressured and really awesome bit of what it means to belong to a church family.
